SupportRepair & diagnose

Fault finding for systems that are not heating properly, running loudly or costing too much.

CareAnnual servicing

Yearly checks to help keep heat pumps efficient, reliable and ready for winter.

What We Do

Support for existing heat pump systems, not just new installs.

A heat pump can underperform for several reasons. Sometimes the unit has a fault. Sometimes the settings, controls, radiators or commissioning are the real issue. We look at the whole system before recommending the next step.

Heat pump repairs

Fault finding for air source heat pumps with poor heating, hot water issues, error codes, unusual noise or repeated call-outs.

Yearly heat pump service

Annual servicing to check operation, cleanliness, settings, protection, controls and general system health before problems build up.

Inefficient system improvement

Review and optimisation for heat pumps that are expensive to run, short cycling, running too hot or failing to keep the home comfortable.

Service Pricing

Annual Service Includes

A clear yearly service checklist.

The annual service is designed to inspect, clean, test and verify the system. It does not include repairing a faulty heat pump. Any existing fault codes, call-out repairs or replacement parts are quoted and billed separately.

Inspection and cleaning

  • Full visual inspection of the outdoor unit, indoor unit, pipework and controls.
  • External unit clean to remove debris, dirt and build-up that restricts airflow.
  • System filters inspected and cleaned or replaced as required.
  • Pipework, joints and valves checked for leaks, corrosion or damage.

Testing and performance checks

  • Refrigerant pressures tested to confirm operation within correct parameters.
  • Electrical connections, controls and safety devices inspected and tested.
  • G3 service and safety checks included.
  • System run and monitored to verify flow temperatures and efficient operation.
  • Thermostat and controller settings reviewed for the way your home is used.

Important: servicing is not fault repair

An annual service does not include fixing a faulty heat pump. If the system already has fault codes, failed parts, refrigerant issues or a fault that needs diagnosis and repair, that work is quoted and billed separately.

Common Issues

If the system feels wrong, it is worth investigating properly.

Many heat pump problems are not solved by simply changing one setting. A calm diagnostic process helps separate equipment faults from design, commissioning and controls issues.

  • Heat pump not heating the home properly
  • High electricity use or poor seasonal efficiency
  • Noisy outdoor unit or unusual system behaviour
  • Hot water problems or slow cylinder recovery
  • Controls, weather compensation or flow temperature issues
  • Radiators not sized well for low-temperature heating

How we improve inefficient systems

  • Review current settings, schedules and control strategy
  • Check flow temperatures and weather compensation approach
  • Look for short cycling and hydraulic issues
  • Assess radiators, emitters and room comfort complaints
  • Recommend practical fixes before major replacement decisions
